?Our heart is the phrase that Father Oreste would always say, ' we give a family to those that don't have one.' So the disabled, and then he found and took in homeless youth, victims of human trafficking, then people in jail, drug addicts, everything that deals with poverty.?
The life of Irene Ciambezi changed radically when she met Father Oreste. She turned her house into a family home, a place where they would take in people in need and share with them her life. The Community of Pope John XXIII is convinced that love and service are two of the most powerful agents of change.

?They're, above all, strong service experiences. Young people are fascinated not just by the fact of finding together many experiences at the school camp, but finding together, as a group, a strong desire that inspires them to create a new society where they can help those on the margins of society.?
The ?White Helmets? are one of their most known projects. They are young people between the ages of 18 and 28 years old that dedicate one year of their lives in the defense of the poorest in conflict areas. Among their projects are defense of families in Colombia under threat by drug traffickers.
